AFRICAN HERITAGE SPORTS AND CULTURAL FESTIVAL

In less than 40 days, NSL in collaboration with the Office of Multicultural Affairs in the Office of the Prince George's County Executive will be hosting once again for the 3rd year in a row, the African Heritage Sports and Cultural Festival in the city of Bowie at Mitchellville Road Community Parks. The event which celebrates Africans in diaspora is a one of a kind. The festive event encapsulates the competitive spirit of a World Cup where African countries are represented and the vibes of carnival, where all sorts of cultural entertainment in performed as well as the unique flavors of the various food and beverages from all parts of the continent. The event typically attracts a good of host of vendors selling arts, crafts, clothes and clothing accessories. The sporting event has always embraced African's number one sport, SOCCER, with teams from Nigeria, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Senegal, Guinea, SeneGambia, and Liberia participating. This year, the sporting event will be a semblance of Olympic with more sporting and gaming activities included.
